Now Some Fresh Skyrim News and Facts

- All the races can get married.
- There will be NO Skyrim demo, because the game features will not allow doing so.
- Just like in Oblivion, there will be a 360 degree camera to look at your hero from any angle.
- The size of the game (map, locations, etc.) will be approximately similar to that of the Oblivion.
- There are lots of animations for killing; but the exact number is not known.
- PC version screenshots have already been released! They are among the shots from XBOX 360. But what are they exactly - this is not disclosed yet...
- You will not be able to climb vertical ladders.
- You will be able to collect bones that left from the dragons after you slash them.

General Skyrim Information

The story of Skyrim starts 200 years after the Oblivion. The main character is the Dragonborn, the real dragon hunter, who will have to stop the giant Dragon God Alduin.

As in the majority of series the game starts in a jail; our hero is rescued from execution by Esbern who is one of the late members of "Blades". The main story takes around 20 hours to complete, but all other quests will take hundreds of hours! Also there will be no dull quest like the closing of the Oblivion Gate. The civil war in the game among Solitude and Windhelm was provoked by the death of the Skyrim king.

You will also see Nordic ruins and Dwemer cities in the game (just like in Morrowind). There will be 130 dungeons and 10 races. The whole game world is going to be more detailed and more real. You can access every part of the game map. There are many more things you will see in the game! Don't miss it!

There is an interesting interview on Skyrim.

I'd like to know whether a core2quad 2.3, Palit 9600, 2 gig will run the game. I mean like being playable? i haven't played any elder scrolls before but it seems the hype is getting to me as it'll be my birthday on the said release date. Hope anyone could comment

@Yaswanth,

Your processor is OK, but the graphic card should be better I think, at least 9600GT or 9800GT, but even these cards will not allow you to run the game smoothly on high settings.

@Troixman,

The same refers to you: the CPU is still fine, but you need to upgrade your GPU (graphics) and RAM (4GB will be OK). You may also try other The Elder Scrolls games like Morrowind and Oblivion - they are great!
